  • Fort Lee A Gate Roundabout

Quinn Consulting Services, Inc. provided Quality Assurance services on this $2.3 Million roundabout project that was administered by the Federal Highway Administration. The project was located near the A Gate entrance to Fort Lee and included the realignment of heavily traveled Jefferson Park Road, Allin Road, Bull Hill Road, and Adams Avenue which serve as connectors between the I-295 and the I-95 and Route 460 corridors. Elements of the project included 7000 cubic yards of imported fill for roadway sections, storm water management basins, a roundabout with a stamped colored brick concrete apron, roadway lighting, and utility relocations that had to be coordinated with the Prince George County Water/Sewer Authority and Prince George Electric CO-OP.

Quinn personnel assigned to the project included a professional engineer as Quality Assurance Manager (QAM), a Senior Quality Assurance Inspector, and various Materials Testing Technicians. The project was built in accordance with VDOT Specifications and Standards combined with FHWA Special Provisions and materials acceptance procedures.
