QCS pays regular hours plus holidays hours at straight time rate if employee is requested to work.
Paid Time Off (PTO) Vacation Leave
Immediately upon hire, you will begin to earn 3.08 hours of PTO each pay period, up to a maximum of ten days of PTO, to be taken as earned. For each year of employment, you will earn an additional .31 hours of PTO each pay period. After 10 years of employment, and each year thereafter, you will earn 6.154 hours of PTO each pay period, up to a maximum of 20 days of PTO, to be taken as earned.
Planned time off should be approved by the client and direct supervisor. Submit PTO requests at least two weeks in advance to the client, your direct supervisor, and the Payroll Coordinator. When possible, PTO requests are granted, taking into account operating requirements. Length of employment may determine priority in scheduling PTO times.
PTO can be used as vacation time or to take care of personal matters.
Vacation PTO is capped at 120 hours as evaluated on April 1 of each calendar year. Approval to carry over in excess of 120 hours must be submitted in writing and approved by the QCS President.
Employees may use earned leave with pay for the illness of the employee’s child, spouse or parent. Leave with pay includes sick leave and vacation time where applicable. Employees who earn more than one type of leave with pay may choose the type and amount of leave to be used.
Personal Days
Personal days can be used as sick time or to take care of personal matters. Planned time off should be approved by the client and supervisor. Personal days are carried over to the following year. Employees are not paid in lieu of taking the actual time off. Upon discharge, employees are not paid for earned but unused personal days. Personal leave my note be used after an employee’s resignation or termination. If an employee is let go due to lack of work, he/she will not be paid for any unused personal leave. Employees who plan to leave the employment of Quinn may not use any personal leave during the last month of employment. If unauthorized leave is taken, the amount will be deducted from final pay, vacation balance, or must be reimbursed to Quinn.

Coverage will begin on the first day of the month after the waiting period is complete. For example, if you start work on May 15, your insurance coverage would begin July 1.

Life Insurance
Eligible full-time employees may also be covered under the plan’s Accidental Death and Dismemberment rider. You must complete an insurance form and designate your beneficiary. QCS pays 100% of the optional term life insurance premium. You must complete an insurance form. A booklet containing the details may be obtained from the QCS HR Benefits Manager.
The payout value of both the basic and optional life insurance coverage reduces to 65% of the basic value at age 65, and to 50% of the basic value at age 70.

You can obtain a copy of the Summary Plan Description which contains the details of the plans including eligibility and benefit provisions from the HR Benefits manager.

Tuition/training reimbursement
Approval from your supervisor and the president must be received prior to registration. We will pay up to $1,000 per year for approved professional development. A grade of pass, B, or better is required for reimbursement of training not paid for in advance by the company. If the employee leaves the company within a year of tuition/training reimbursement, the employee is required to reimburse Quinn for these training expenses.

End of year Performance Bonuses
At, Quinn, we want to recognize a job well done. There is an annual performance bonus. Bonuses are granted at management’s discretion based on the following performance criteria:
- Employee Long Term assignment away from home
- Compliments received on employee’s performance from primes, clients and/or industry peers
- Employee participation in proposal development activities
- Employee participation in proposal short-list presentations
- Employee participation in client or prime marketing meetings and/or conferences as a QCS representative
- Employee input to and support for the development and/or modification of QCS processes and/or procedures’ manuals
- Employee recognition as a contributor of High CQIP (Quality) ratings on one or more projects supported during the year
- Employee willingness to work a flexible schedule (nights, days, weekends, and holidays) as needed by the clients or required by various projects
- Employee positive efforts to understand and follow QCS corporate administrative procedures for payroll, timesheet submission, vehicle log preparation and submission, expense report submission, training attendance, industry certification rewards, etc.
- Employee positive efforts towards effectively dealing with difficult projects/contractors /client representatives and or project hardships

- Employee support in creating a positive industry reputation for QCS
